About SHIRP Live

Who am I talking to when I use SHIRP Live?

SHIRP’s Library staff respond to chat, phone, and email questions. You may be referred to other Library staff if they are better suited to address your need.

What kinds of questions can I ask?

Anything! We'll do our best to help you out. Any question regarding your account, our resources, or our services is welcome.

Who can use SHIRP Live?

Although our primary clients are Saskatchewan’s registered healthcare practitioners, we also accept questions from university students, staff, and faculty, as well as the public.

How quickly will my question be answered?

We try to respond right away, but we may be busy working with other clients. If you do not receive an immediate response please try waiting a few minutes or leave your email address in the chat window and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

Will my chat conversation be saved?

No, we do not save the chat logs but they are temporarily saved for a short period of time. Anonymized chat logs are occasionally reviewed to help us improve our service.
